The LACPA Approach

While all our workshops, training, and learning material are tailor-made and adapted to the specific target group, the Songs for Rights method is based on the LACPA approach. The following represents the 5 typical steps of a Song for Rights workshop or training:

L – Learn: Learning about human rights, key principles, and international conventions on human rights.

A -Assimilate: Internalizing the meaning and importance of Human Rights in our lives

C – Create: Writing and composing a human rights song

P – Produce: Recording of the song and production of a video clip

A – Advocate: Promoting human rights using the produced song & video

The Songs for Rights method can be adapted to a wide range of target groups and topics such as human rights, children’s rights, women’s rights, or rights of persons with disabilities. The method can also be tailored to more specific themes, such as the Sustainable Development Goals, climate change, or the inclusion of marginalised groups.

You tell us what objectives and issues you would like to focus on, and we develop your tailor-made Songs for Rights programme.
