Advocacy

Songs for Rights uses music as a tool to advocate for civic engagement and participation, while empowering all people, and especially young people, to become active participants in human rights advocacy and promotion.

For us advocacy work means demanding and promoting widespread and direct participation in dialogue and activism for human rights. As our Mission describes, we use music as a means of promoting ideas to peers, communities and the world in order to bring about social change, empowerment, (artistic) expression and connection between people and communities.

Through our workshops, trainings, communication networks and our Songs for Rights we aim to enable awareness creation and motivation to live up to and act upon human rights principles and values for individuals, communities, institutions, and governments on local, national and international level.
