Songs for Rights Advisory Board
Die Songs for Rights Advisory Board plays an important role in supporting the quality, relevance and strategic direction of the network’s work. In 2026, two Advisory Board meetings were planned and successfully organised, with sessions taking place in spring and autumn. The Board brings together experts from diverse fields, including human rights, music, youth work and children’s rights, providing interdisciplinary guidance to ensure that activities remain meaningful, inclusive and aligned with European youth priorities. In addition, the Board was strengthened through the involvement of three new young members, helping to ensure that the perspectives and voices of young people are directly represented in strategic discussions.
During the meetings, Board members reviewed the progress of the 2026 Work Plan and its 21 activities, reflected on achievements and challenges, and provided recommendations for strengthening implementation and impact. Discussions focused on maintaining alignment with the EU Youth Strategy, European Youth Goals, democratic participation, inclusion, mental health, sustainability and youth engagement through music and the arts. The Advisory Board also contributed feedback to support continuous improvement, helping the network adapt activities and strengthen the quality and relevance of its work throughout the year.
